Fragmentation Target Zone - How It Works

Fragmentation Target Zone - How It Works

1. How to Configure Target Zones

Target zones are configured at the Site Level. This ensures that every project within a specific site uses the same engineering standards.

  1. Navigate to My Sites: On the main dashboard, locate the site list on the left sidebar.

  2. Edit Site: Click the three dots (options menu) next to the site name and select Edit (as shown in your third image).

  3. Fragmentation Setting: In the "Edit Site" dialog, click the Fragmentation Setting tab.

  4. Target Zones Tab: Select the Fragmentation Target Zones sub-tab (refer to your second image).

  5. Configure Entries:

    • Click + Create Target Zone to start a new profile.

    • Add your Target Size (e.g., 16 in, 60 in).

    • Set the Target Percentage Range (%) for each size using the sliders.

  6. Save: Click Save to apply these specifications.

2. The Visual Requirement: Why 2+ Targets?

To see a shaded zone on the Fragmentation AI graph, you must add a minimum of two target entries.

  • The Single Point Issue: If you only add one target size (e.g., 16 inches), the system only knows the passing range for that specific spot. It has no "destination" to draw a line toward, so no shaded area appears.

  • The Zone Solution: By adding a second size (e.g., 60 inches), the system connects the minimum and maximum ranges of both points. This creates the green shaded "envelope" seen on the graph.

3. Reading the Graph

Once you open the Size Distribution Graph in a project:

  • Target Range (Green Area): This is the shaded region created by your site-level settings.
