Which fragmentation size algorithm/equation is best for the prediction?

Both the Kuzram and Xp Frag Cunningham models are commonly used for the fragmentation prediction. Both the methods used common parameters for the fragmentation prediction, such as bench height, burden, spacing, RWS, etc. While a few parameters are separately used by the Kuzram model and the Xp Frag model for the fragmentation prediction.
The Kuzram model prediction model uses the parameter but not the Xp Frag model.

4. Rock Mass Parameters

The Xp Frag Cunningham model uses the parameters but not the Kuzram model.
1. Delay between holes/rows
2. P-Wave velocity
3. Young's Modulus
4. UCS
5. Hole Inclination

Both the equations can be used for the prediction of fragmentation. There are two ways that help you out to understand which method is perfect.
1. Matching results with the predicted value. Select and continue using the predicted model, which is best suited/matched to the results.
2. Data availability for the prediction. Find out the available rock mass data with you. The Xp frag needs more rock mass data, whereas the Kuzram model needs more blast parameter data.
