How to use the tools in the Toolbar

Navigating the toolbar within the Strayos Platform: reference the steps below showcasing the toolbar features available to users. 

The toolbar serves as a home for the fundamental tools that can be utilized on the platform within the projects created. From left to right, here is a breakdown of each function individually:


Undo/Redo buttons: These serve as Undo/Redo functions when working within the modules of Strayos. For instance, if you execute a command, and mistakenly move a drill hole or an annotation, you can use this function to undo the action. 


Surface Area and Volumetrics: This function allows users to annotate a specific area of interest (AOI) to measure surface area, as well as areas to calculate volumes. The boundary that is created will be saved under the Annotations and Layers Module on the left-hand toolbar, where each annotation will be saved. This annotation can be edited, exported in several formats, and copied to additional projects.

2D and 3D Line Segments: These two functions allow users to annotate in both 2D or 3D Horizontal Length, Surface Length, and Vertex Elevations. The annotations will also be saved under the annotations module where they can be edited, copied, and downloaded in different file types, similar to above. 







Coordinates Marker: This annotation allows users to place a coordinate marker at a specific point on their model showing its Latitude, Longitude, and Elevation at a given point. Once placed, the annotation can be found under the Annotation and Layers Module. 

 


Rock Joint/Seam: This function allows users to manually annotate a discontinuity within the Rock Face in 3D to further report its position, Dip Angle, and Strike Direction. When selected, the tool will bring the user into the 3D model to draw the annotation, which will then be saved with the other annotations on the left-hand sidebar. Crop Orthophoto: This Function allows users to crop the orthophoto produced from their drone data in the photogrammetry process. 

 

Elevation Calibration: This function allows the user to calibrate their model to a specific elevation. This will then scale the model to its respective elevations based on the point which is chosen. For instance, if a user is looking to assign a new elevation to their model, they would use this tool to place a point to calibrate the model to a new elevation. See notes in the image below



Terrain Flattening Tool: This function allows users to crop certain terrain features to a best fit or lowest fit plane. For instance, if there is equipment, muckpiles, or stockpiles on the model that the user would like to edit, they can select around the feature they are looking to crop and apply the terrain editing tool too. 




Closest Structure: This annotation allows users to measure the distance to the closest structures within or outside of a model using a radius drawn. When drawing a second circle, the distance will then appear between the two points. This tool serves the purpose of measuring blast areas well within a specific radius from the blast area.

Edit Highwall Crest and Toe: This function allows users to edit the AI-detected Crest and Toe Position on their model. Functions include modifying, erasing, or redrawing the features as needed. To end a modification, double-click to complete. Screen Recording 2023-10-04 at 05.50.57.31 PM
