How to use FragR

FragR Product Overview

Strayos FragR is a mobile application that utilizes AI-powered training modules and the phone’s dual camera to analyze fragmentation size distribution, detect fines percentage, and identify oversized material in real time, without the need for scales. It is designed to be used in mines, quarries, and civil construction sites, adapting to various materials and pile types.

Compatibility

The FragR Application is compatible on both IOS and Android devices, with offline capabilities. When synchronized to the Strayos Web platform, real-time data can be viewed from analyses made on the phone, allowing synchronized photos and data.

Performance Features:

After synchronization of the web app

1. Blast Performance Monitoring: Track blast performance for each shot.

2. Instant Sharing: Easily share reports via email directly from the app.

3. Use on Any Shot: Can be used for any shot, whether planned with Strayos or any third-party software.

4. Strayos Web App Integration: Seamlessly integrate with the Strayos web app for data collection

5. Real-time analysis: It enables instant rock fragmentation analysis in the field, providing immediate results to mining and quarrying operations

6.No need for high-end devices—AI operates on phone/tablet, providing real-time results

7. Collaboration: Collaborate with team members in the field and office.

8. Centralized fragmentation Management: All fragmentation data is managed in one platform, ensuring data integrity, connecting directly in the Strayos web platform, allowing the drone data and phone data in one platform.

9. Enhanced privacy and security: By processing data locally, FragR limits data transfer, keeping sensitive information secure

10. Offline Functionality: The app can still be used without an internet connection, with data synchronization when reconnected.

These features provide comprehensive support for managing drill and blast operations efficiently, promoting collaboration, and making fragmentation analysis accessible to every team member, right from their smartphone.

Start Up:

Download Strayos FragR from your device's App Store. If prompted to update, please do so as we are currently making improvements to the application. Once downloaded, the camera will open, and the user can take the photo for analysis, or they can enter the previous projects.

Capturing Images:

The FragR application is designed to capture images from a distance ranging from 3 to 6 meters from the object. The finer the material, the closer the camera should be to the material.

Step 1.
Info
Locate the floor and wait a few seconds while the app generates a grid based scale.

Step 2.
Info
Once the floor is clearly defined, select two points within the grid. The app will automatically generate the scale for fragmentation detection.

Step 3.
Info
Once the photo is taken, the user can select it to open the next screen. The photo's orientation can be changed from horizontal to vertical if it helps facilitate the next step.
Step 4.
Info
The photo is currently pending analysis. The next step is to select a polygon around the area that needs to be analyzed. All data within the polygon will be processed by the AI, detecting rock boundaries and using them as data. Any rocks outside the polygon will not be considered.

Step 5.
Info
After processing is complete, the boundaries of the rocks will appear, along with a button to highlight color differences in the photo based on size.

Step 6.
Info
After the analysis, there is an option to merge multiple photos into a final report with consolidated fragmentation values. This is useful when analyzing a large muckpile that requires several photos taken from different positions along the pile.

To proceed, select the photos to include in the final muckpile analysis and click Merge. The merged output data will then be generated within the project.

Reporting:

Strayos FragR provides several information allowing the user to see the distribution graph and edit custom sieve sizes, and download the CSV file.

It also generates an automatic report from the data.

To generate fragmentation reports, the download reports button on the bottom toolbar will generate a compilation of photos, rock boundaries, fragmentation curve, and sieve size passing %.  which can be shared instantly in PDF form.

Info
On the user profile, Measurement units can be changed by choosing between metric and imperial.
