How to Import Haul Road Data (Centerlines) for Haul Road Analysis
Use the Import option to bring your own road centerlines
into Haul Road AI. Centerlines are the road centerline geometry exported from
civil design software such as Civil 3D or Trimble.
Two file formats are
supported: LandXML (.xml) for alignments and survey data, and DXF (.dxf) for
polylines from CAD tools.
- In
the Haul Road AI panel, click Import at the bottom of the
panel. The Import Centerlines window opens. It has three stages at the
top: Upload, Configure and Preview.
- Under Select
Format, choose LandXML (.xml) or DXF (.dxf),
depending on your file. The upload area is available only after you select
a format.
- Drag
your file into the Upload File area, or click the area to
browse for it.
- Click Parse
File. The alignments and polylines in the file are extracted
automatically.
- Continue
through the Configure and Preview stages
to check and confirm the imported centerlines.
