Editing Haul Roads

Editing Haul Roads

With the Strayos Haul Road AI tool, haul roads are automatically detected, along with some of their physical characteristics. This document will walk through how to edit the detected haul roads when edits need to be made.

First, open the project and make sure the Haul Road has ran successfully. If it was not toggled on in the upload process when creating the project, it can be toggled on once the project has completed processing. Click on Haul Road AI to confirm:

Once successfully ran, editing the haul roads can be done by selecting the button on the upper tool bar "Edit Haul Road"

A menu will then appear on the upper tool bar, where the editing steps are listed under "+ Road"

To erase sections of the haul roads, click the erase icon:

1.) Draw both edges of the road: draw both edges of the road first. This defines the width of the road.

2.) Draw the berms of the road: this identifies the berm locations to be measured.

3.) Draw the center of the road: this defines the centerline of the road.

For good results, edge lines should extend 1.5m more than the center line on both ends

For editing berms, select the "+ Berm" function. This will allow users to draw new berms without need to redraw the entire road.
