When designing a drill pattern, the Polygon and Crest tools serve as alternates to the AB line function.

Polygon Tool: When the 'Draw Polygon' tool is selected, a custom blast area can be defined by outlining a polygon. Once the area is selected, the drilling pattern will be automatically placed within the defined polygon.

The next step is to apply the appropriate spacing and burden. Additionally, an arrow is now available on the design, allowing adjustment of the drilling direction.

When the 'Fit Burden' and 'Fit Spacing' options are activated, the drilling pattern adjusts automatically according to the boundaries of the polygon. Additionally, the 'Stagger Rows' option can be selected to modify the pattern arrangement.





It is now possible to configure hole inclination, back break, diameter, and subdrill. Additionally, the floor depth can be selected based on the designed floor or a custom floor plane, where elevation can be manually adjusted. The grade can also be modified from the plane, enabling the creation of ramps or other customized designs as needed.

Trace crest:

The high-wall crest must be activated to display its position to use the Crest Tool. The crest position can be adjusted to optimize hole placement for the best design if needed.

Additional parameters such as burden, spacing, fit spacing, row count, staggered rows, and back smoothing can be configured to optimize the drill design. The drilling pattern dynamically adjusts to these settings, ensuring proper alignment within the defined boundaries.
The Back Smoothing tool adjusts the back row holes, aligning them into a horizontal line for a more uniform pattern.
