Designing Drill Plans to DXF Design Elevations

Designing Drill Plans to DXF Design Elevations

Strayos allows its users to design drill plans to DXF elevations. Whether you are designing a drill plan to match a pit design or on a construction site drill to a design surface, the software will provide the option to design boreholes to specific elevations.

To start, upload your design file through the Design and Layer module:

On the bottom left hand corner, select "upload design" and select the 3D option. Once your model has processed, you will see it as an option to select in the drill design set up.

Users can also upload within the Drill Design Module. To do so:

Next, select the "Upload and Manage Design" button to upload your DXF file. Make sure the file you bring in is matching the coordinate system which the model was processed.

Once the DXF is uploaded, start creating your drill design. When entering your shot properties, you will want to toggle on the "Use Design Floor" option. This will automatically design your borehole depth to meet the elevation of the DXF.

Once toggled on, select the DXF which you are looking to design.

Select apply. You will then see how the holes have been design to the DXF elevation

To visualize the DXF surface, select the options button on the bottom left hand corner of the screen

Select "Floor Plane Visualization" to view DXF surface in 2D and 3D.
