Strayos offers a Lithology mapping tool within its suite of solutions. This document provides some insight into how this tool works and how it can be best utilized. The Lithology tool utilizes the 3D model, specifically the point cloud, to cluster areas of similar color as types of Lithology. The RGB values of each point are classified into clusters, where then users can interpret the specific lithology which is present with each cluster.
To use this tool, navigate to "Lithology AI" within the project:
This will then bring you to a point cloud viewer, where you will need to assign an area which you are looking to analyze. To annotate an area, select "Add Task":
A red dot will appear, where you will need to place this ion the model as a start point. From there, drag the point away from the original location to create additional points, to create the polygon which you would like to run the analysis within.
Once completed, it may take several minutes for the analysis to run. The final result will appear as shown below:
