Strayos Fielder
User Guide
Product Overview
Strayos Fielder is a mobile application, collectively aimed to streamline the drilling process, improve communication and collaboration, enhance data management, and provide real-time insights into drilling operations. The Fielder application enables the capture, analysis and reporting of digitized drill log data.
Compatibility
The Fielder Application is compatible on both IOS and Android devices, with offline capabilities. When synchronized to the Strayos Web platform, real time data can be viewed from logged field data. Integrate hard copy drill plans, KML files and Strayos Drone Maps to provide rich data to end users.
Key Performance Features:
After synchronization of web app drill plan data into mobile app, the driller can add and modify drilling details such as depth, rock mass feature, drill timing before synchronizing back to the web app.
1. Drilling Performance Monitoring: Track drilling performance for each shot.
2. Instant Sharing: Easily share reports via email directly from the app.
3. Use on Any Shot: Can be used for any drilling shot, whether planned with a drone survey or not.
4. Strayos Web App Integration: Seamlessly integrate with the Strayos web app for shot plan visualization and further blast design.
5. No-Map/Photo Map Option: Allows for the use of hand-drawn shot plans or recording drill log data without a map.
6. Mobile Shot Plan Design: Design shot plans digitally within the app.
7. Collaboration: Collaborate with team members in the field and office.
8. Centralized Drill Log Management: All drill log data is managed in one platform, ensuring data integrity.
9. Real-Time Progress View: Monitor drilling progress in real-time from anywhere, with updates from multiple drills on the same shot.
10. Offline Functionality: The app can still be used without an internet connection, with data synchronization when reconnected.
These features provide comprehensive support for managing drilling operations efficiently, promoting collaboration, and ensuring data accuracy and accessibility.
Start Up:
Download Strayos Fielder from your devices App Store. If prompted to update, please do so as we are currently making improvements to the application. Once Downloaded, choose the appropriate Domain. This will most likely be App.Strayos.
Login with your credentials to access your account. Please reach out to Strayos Support with any issues.
Users will be able to see their Domains and Subdomains which they have access to creating and logging projects within.
After selecting the appropriate Domain and Subdomain, users will then choose the Site or Create a Site which they are working within.
To Create a Site: A site is where the projects Create a Project will be located. Sites shown will originate from the Strayos application. Sites created through the Mobile App will reflect on the Strayos Web platform once synced.
Projects originated from the Strayos Web platform will also be reflected in the project menu to choose from to begin drilling. To create a project within the Fielder App:
Name the Project, Enter the shot details, and choose which shot plan map to use. The benefit of the Digital Shot Plan is it will sync as a virtual project back to the Strayos Platform. To create, it requires the user to draw in the following steps along the grid pattern:
- Draw Crest
- Draw Toe
- Place holes
- Label Holes
To begin drilling a shot, choose a project and select the hole to begin drilling on. Users will be asked to select a drill or add a drill if none are available.
After selecting any drill name, users will be prompted to Start Drilling tab. This will begin the time recorded to drill the hole.
While drilling the hole, users can Add Hole Information. This is where hole features can be created and added, for example Overburden, Seams, Voids, or other recordable geologic conditions that should be logged. Photos and comments can also be added for the holes as well.
When finished drilling, the hole will appear colored in the list and map view. Repeat for the remaining holes in the shot. There are additional options in the list view to mark all holes drilled, and also add holes or rows to the shot.
Navigating the App:
When using the Fiedler App, syncing of the data will send the data that has been logged to the Strayos Web App. The app is designed to automatically sync when signal/wifi is present. To manually send and retrieve data that may have been created from the Strayos Platform, press the sync button on the upper right hand corner.
The bottom toolbar allows users to view Strata Feature conditions, Manage Drills, and also log Shit Details:
Reporting:
Strayos Fielder streamlines drill reporting on a daily or monthly basis, from the data logged by users. To generate daily drill reports, the Reports button on the bottom toolbar will generate shot drill log data, which can be shared instantly in PDF or CSV forms.
Monthly Drill Reports can be generated by date, and Drill machine from the Options button on the upper right-hand corner:
Data synchronization from Web app to Fielder app and vice versa
The Web app blast holes drill design data can easily be synchronized into the Fielder app using the “Drill Log App” in the image below. The holes and rows details, hole depth, hole angle and azimuth can be easily synchronized into the Fielder app. Furthermore, the drill operator drilling information, blast bench observation features (hard, soft, water, clay, etc.) and actual drilling depth data can be modified in the mobile app and synchronized into the web app. In both ways the data can be synchronized for better visibility of actual blast data.
Anyone who has credentials can open a fielder app and get an update about the drilling situation in the mine. After getting synchronized from mobile app, all the update of drilling design can be seen in the “Strayos Fielder Data” as shown in figure. Here, users can see the actual blast data and can do planning accordingly. While planning for explosive charge loading, the fielder blast hole data gets override into drilling design data, so user can do analysis with the actual data.
