Creating Cross Sections

To start, open the site you wish to create your cross sections from. Select and area or annotate a line to show the path you would like to form a cross section from. See the images below for both case examples. 

Next, navigate to your annotations and layers tab, and toggle on the annotation you are looking to view. Here, we have selected Area 1. In the left hand toolbar you have several options to reference a ground elevation, Digital Surface model, Digital Terrain model, a 3D visualization, coordinates, segments, and a Profile button. Selecting profile will provide the cross section seen below for area 1. 

Note: Here, the cross section elevation follows the direction that the annotated area was drawn.

For the line that was drawn, toggle on the Line annotation to view on the model. Again, the profile button will show a cross section of the selected annotation. These cross sections can be downloaded as a DXF, and compared to other profiles within the project.
